It's late in the season; the playoffs are fast approaching; and the Washington Sentinels have just gone on strike. Scrambling for a solution, the owner Edward O'Neil (Warden) hatches a plan to bring in legendary coach Jimmy McGinty (Hackman) to recruit a team of replacement players in exactly one week.My Review
On a fine day the movie turned out to be quite decent even though havings stars such as Gene Hackman and Keanu Reeves.
Though the movie was simple and typical but a story of an underdog team striving for success is always good to watch.
In the movie, there was one scene particularly that i loved, it was the part where the team was sent to jail for a barfight, where they sang and danced "I will Survive"
though it might not seem like a huge scene but there the team discovered their friendship and team spirit.
Overall the movie may not be loveable but it is likeable.
Recommendations
- A decent football movie
- Simple yet charming
